Stoney Iron Meteorites:
Stony-irons are thought to be samples of the material between the core and mantle of complex asteroids. They are
basically composed of equal parts of nickel-iron metal and stony material. They are exceptionally rare, representing
only 1.5% of witnessed falls and comprise a total known weight of only 2% of the mass of all known meteorites (approximately 10 tons.)
